We are one month out from blast off and it's time to send off for the visas. The problem is the invitation letters sent to the guys have mistakes on them so we need new ones. Going to the police commissioner in Cameroon takes time and it's really up to Gaston to make sure it happens. Please pray that on Monday all the paperwork would happen according to plan. Also pray that once we get the proper paperwork the rest of the process runs smoothly and the visas show up in a timely fashion.
Besides the hassle of getting the paperwork gathered for us, Gaston is also trying to get his land prepared for the work our team will be doing. The rains are late this year in Yaounde' and we are asking for your prayers for the rains to stop. Pray that the Kingue's will get the land ready and not be discouraged.
We met this morning and took time to pray as a team. This trip has had it's share of obstacles and we need to be covered in prayer. We appreciate each of you that are lifting up this team to the God of the universe - what a comfort.

Thanks
I'm a little behind on sending out information - sorry.
The team going to Cameroon is set: Drew Petersen, Eric Ahrens, Jon Sybrant and Tim Broge.
This is the first time that Shelly and Gaston will be hosting a team so the fact that there are only 4 guys is a good thing. Time is flying by quickly and the guys are getting excited to be on their way.
Thank you so much for those of you who have given towards this mission trip - every gift is appreciated. Even though there are only 4 people flying to Cameroon there are so many more of you that are doing your part to help in encouraging and blessing the Kingue family. I love being part of a community that works together for the kingdom of God. This would not be happening without people praying, giving and going - whatever part you play in that it is equally important to the whole trip. Thank you!!!
Here are some specific prayer requests:
- Pray as the team send off for their visas. This involves the Kingues sending the invitation letter and the team sending their visa applications in along with their passports. The visa must be applied for no sooner than 30 days out - which gets a little nerve racking as you wait for your passport and visa to be returned before the flight leaves.
- Pray that all the money comes in for the trip. The tickets have all been ordered and about half the money is in for the team.
-Pray that the rains stop in Yaounde' so that Gaston has time to get the land prepared for the specific work that is to be done by our team. The dates are set for January 4 - 18, 2015.
-Pray that we have enough extra money raised to bless the Kingues with all the building material that will be needed during the dates the team is in Yaounde'.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Thank you again for your prayers.
Here is a picture of Shelly and Gaston Kingue from their time in Minnesota this past summer.

Prayers Requested
The summer is over and winter is approaching rapidly, although it's hard to believe as I sit here in Minnesota in my shorts with the a/c on.
Our church (Evergreen New Hope) is sending a construction missions team to Cameroon Africa in
January 2015. I don't know if you have ever been on a mission trip before but there is much to be done in the next few months. We head into this week asking for prayer for those who are considering being part of this team. We are praying for skilled workers who will make valuable use of the time in Africa. We need a commitment by next Sunday and for some it is a hard decision. We ask that God give them courage as they face being uncomfortable and stretched: physically, spiritually and financially. We know that we cannot do anything on our own but only through God's strength and through your prayers.
I will be communicating prayer requests and updates through this blog, so if you would be willing to pray for the team please sign up to get updates on this blog. Pass this along to those you know who would be willing to hold the team up in prayer. I will fill you all in on what they will be doing on a future blog post.
Blessings to you all for your willingness to join us in prayer. We are already feeling the effects of the spiritual battle that always comes when we step out in faith to do something beyond the normal in serving God.
